Every year hundreds of couples tie the knot on our
sandy shores. Without a required in-country stay of longer than
a day, excellent airlift from all over the world and beautiful settings
and weather, Antigua is perfect for romantic weddings. Lots of our
friends have been married recently so we are getting pretty familiar
with the professionals needed to make a wedding happen. The best
Ministers, Justices, caterers, photographers / videographers and
planners are all available. We can provide for custom requirements
and 'package' type weddings. We also deal specificall with a very
good wedding planner who can organize custom weddings for you. Whatever
you needs are she will sort it out. Send her an email
if below is not what you are after.
Wedding Package - US$675.00 includes the
following Legal Fees, Registration, Marriage Officer, Bridal Bouquet,
Buttonhole, Photographer, Services of the wedding planner
The wedding planner escorts bridal couple to the
Ministry of Legal Affairs to apply for the wedding license and to
the Courthouse for the registration. Wedding planner is also present
at the wedding ceremony to ensure that everything is as requested.
To get married in Antigua, the bridal couple must present passports
and birth certificates in person, to the Ministry of Legal Affairs.
If the couple have been married, the original divorce decree must
be presented or if a previous spouse has died, the death certificate
must be presented. After filling out the forms for the license,
it's then on to the Court House to fill out a form for the Registration.
Passports are left with the Ministry of Legal Affairs for a couple
hours, in order to complete all the necessary paperwork and the
wedding ceremony can be held any time after this. The ceremony is
performed by a Marriage Officer who is the person given authority
by the government of Antigua to perform weddings legally. The ceremony
can be held at a beach, historical site, tropical garden or anywhere
that the couple desires.
